Formed in 2006, The Costume Studio was originally set-up to make theatrical and operatic costumes for Auckland Theatre Company and NBR NZ Opera. However, over the last few years we have grown and developed into something much bigger and more exciting. As well as costumes for the stage, The Costume Studio now produces some of the more weird and wonderful costumes and mascots seen in ad campaigns, TV commercials, magazines and on the sports field.

In 2008, The Costume Studio was announced winner of the Best Start Up Business category in the Westpac Enterprise North Shore Business Awards. The judges called us "a well earned leader in a niche market"
